Prefer live music to movie night? Head toward the river. Wekiva Island's Friday-night Sounds of Wekiva lineup features Davey Schweizer with Life on Mars. Grab a spot, enjoy the music and make a laid-back night of it by the water.

Start Saturday close to home. The City of Longwood Farmers Market brings locally sourced seafood and produce together with handmade crafts, gifts and local vendors at Reiter Park. Wander, shop and grab something for the weekend before deciding where you're heading next.

After a busy Friday and Saturday, Sunday can be a little slower. Spring Hammock Preserve covers roughly 1,500 acres and gives you a chance to walk through cypress forest, boardwalks and protected natural areas without leaving Longwood.
Recent improvements at the Osprey Trailhead include new boardwalks, accessible paths, a pavilion and improved bridge crossings. Bring water, bug spray and shoes you don't mind taking onto a Florida trail.
