David's Soccer Experience

Like most Americans I started as a huge football fan who didn’t really know much about the game of soccer. I had three daughters in dance class and coming from a sports back ground I was dying to put them into something a little bit more competitive. So, Anne-Marie and I decided to have them try the game of soccer. We started out watching the entire team chase the ball around the field like a blob but as they got older it turned into a beautiful game.

It’s hard to believe that I have been coaching girls soccer for over 14 years. I started out just helping another dad coach a team that my oldest daughter was on. As I started to coach, I decided to take it a step further and I got my F, E, and D soccer license and started coaching for Orlando City Youth Soccer Club. Coaching girls soccer is something that I really enjoy doing and it’s something that has turned into one of my favorite hobbies. As I tell everyone, it’s nice to get paid for doing a hobby, isn’t it!

Since the MLS team, Orlando City, started their first season in 2015 the city of Orlando has fallen in love with the team. We personally have had season tickets since day one and we love going to the matches!
